We provide a full range of professional services covering the whole lifetime of your pet.  Our services include the following and more:

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to provide extensive diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pet's complete health care needs.  We perform many second opinion exams every year, and welcome you to visit us for that purpose.

Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.  Orthopaedic (bone) and cardiovascular (including heart) surgeries, endoscopy, and general soft tissue surgery, are performed by Dr. Leavens or a staff veterinarian of your choice.  Interlocking Nails for advanced fracture repair is also available at MSPC.  Certain opthalmic procedures are also available.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  

Pain Control:  We go to lengths to control pain and suffering, and take this part of our anesthetic protocols very seriously.  Good pain control provides a better experience for your pet and reduces surgical risks.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, modern Digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.  We have and use both regular Digital Radiographs and Dental Digital Dental Radiographs.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists. 

Laboratory:  Our laboratory services provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.  Certain chemotherapy options are also available for treatable cancers.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions and oral surgery. 

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet. 

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. 

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. 

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. 

Grooming and Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic professional grooming and bathing services are available. 

24 HOUR Emergency Care:  Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies for our patients.

End of Life Care (Hospice):  We provide a full range of euthanasia options including attended and unattended, and have room in the chapel for several family members to be present for comfort at this emotional time.  Compassionate cremations are available for your pet when the end of life arrives (options include return of your pet's ashes).
