Veterinary Technician

Main Street Pet Care is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our Health Care Team in Joplin, Missouri. Veterinary Technicians play a key role in an efficient veterinary practice. Qualified candidates must:

• Possess in-depth medical knowledge and good organizational skills to manage and direct the client/patient flow in the hospital.
• Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills which are necessary for effective communication with and education of pet owners regarding health and care related issues and to provide recommendations to pet owners regarding the optimal care of their pets.
• Oversee and maintain medical records exercising attention to detail while assisting in diagnosing and treating pets: monitoring anesthesia, performing laboratory work, and monitoring critically ill pets.
