A well equipped kit should contain the following items:

Information Card Containing:
-Veterinary Emergency Clinic Phone Number (417-782-9611)

-Your Vet's Phone Number

-Poison Control Phone Number

-Web Sites (www.mainstreetpetcare.com)
 
-Each Pet's Baseline Information (Weight, Date of Birth, Health Problems, Normal Heart Rate and Respiratory Rate)

-List of Medications- Including name, dose, and frequency

Muzzle Gauze

Duct Tape or other heavy duty tape to immobilize if needed

Bandage Material:
-Gauze pads/Telfa Pads

-Gauze Rolls- Stretch and non-stretch

-Elastic Wrap- Ace, Vet Wrap

-Saran Wrap to seal wounds

-Tape- porous and waterproof
All Purpose Scissors

Magazine or Newspaper to use as a splint

Tweezers and/or Hemostats

Hair Clippers

Needle Nose Pliers

Side(Wire) Cutters

Syringes for Medications

Thermometer

Towel and/or Blanket (multi uses)

Hot and Cold Packs

Liquid Soap (Scrub)

Antiseptic Solution

Cotton Balls and 4x4's

Lube

Contacts Lens Solution (Saline)

Dermavet/Panalog

Activated Charcoal

3% Hydrogen Peroxide

Antihistamine (Diphenhydramine)
